I worked in the transport industry and usually had 2 or 3 jobs on the go for 6 years solely involved in temp/work casual labor contracts.
One time, I worked at Qantas catering(CaterAir)for about 3 months as a temp in 90's while at Uni. It was my job to clean the meal trolleys at Brisbane Airport. It was a great experience and really helped to pay the bills.
I would definitely consider working as a baggage handler for $38,000 per year plus 5 weeks holidays. Especially, considering the tax free threshold being elevated to $18K next year. Have been doing one year contracts in Asia for the last seven years and would love to come back to Aussie and land a secure position. I have plenty of tickets and experience. I am reliable, hard-working, confident and have worked for a variety of companies including Comet Air, Coca-Cola, Ansett Wridgeways, Allied Pickfords, Toll etc...
