    I agree that a time comes when jobs have to stop being exported to increase company profits. I believe(maybe wrongly) that the issues were the % of the yearly claims from the baggage handlers. The pilots 2.5% seems reasonable but their tickets thrown in etc, is clutching at straws(by the pilots).

    As to off shoring jobs so you can pay some one $5/day, no chance. I don't believe QANTAS will go broke paying the current Aust wages. More for corporate greed with regards to profits is more the issue. As to SH dividends, scrap them, growth from SP is the name of the game. A dividend but no SP growth is akin to renting a house but having no growth in the house/land.

    Pardon my ignorance. Can someone explain if I catch a flight in Australia how does an Indonesian baggage handler handle my cases from over there?
