Ozwolverine, I beg to differ. Shares will trade without the dividend on Monday the 7th November and hence you will need to buy them no later than Friday the 4th November close of business. The exdividend date is clearly stated in the announcement. The 45 day rule only applies to the franking credit entitlement if you sell the shares within this 45 day period which is in fact 47 days because you must count the day purchased and day sold (it is 45 days clear) If you keep the shares for longer than this period the rule does not apply.
