Here's the problem.
Would you prefer ten wells who each hit and return 100 000 cubic feet of gas a day, or to drill 8 wildcats, 7 of which miss, and one that comes in at 2 million cf a day ?
The dirt THK is drilling is reliable, but it (a) has low flow rates, (b) needs fraccing all the time, and (c) needs a lot of wells to fully develop a field.
Rather than count hits and misses, compare their total capex to their total daily production.
