In china, the dragon is the imperial symbol, regarded as a divine beast, and magnificent, the sign of the emperor, and of the male element Yang.
The flag of Wales is the red dragon.
The flag was granted official status in 1959, thought the first known use of the dragon to represent Wales was in 830 AD.
Our MD is obviously a very proud Welshman.
Having worked in Wales for part of the 1990s, and having had a Welsh girlfriend back then (beautiful memories), I can understand his pride.
