It's a small step in the right direction I suppose? not like the EVR though maybe, because they would not be renewed each year come rego time, another thing that I have often wondered about RFID is how from my understanding, is that ANY reader can read what is on the card, I read somewhere where anybody with a reader can for instance walk past you and read your bankcard info if it has RFID on it?
So the company that paid for the cards in the first place may in a sense also be paying for a card that a competitors system could use also and for zilch?
Perhaps I my understanding of this may be wrong? I would have thought it would be possible to make the first thing the RFID did was request the readers identity before passing on any information, in this way ony a reader that passes the correct code back to the RFID would be able to get the info from the RFID card, if that makes sense, it would also mean that any company that wants to use the Miko card would have to pay for the access code in order to allow them to read the RFID by their system,or better still not give out the code but make them buy the readers with the code from Mikoh as well and keep the code info secure, this would result in extra income for Mikoh wouldn't it?
