It becomes a paid work once you accept his quote.
You then pay for the time he wasted driving around, quoting to others and not getting the job, probably 70% of the time.
So in reality he probably averages $40 to $50 an hour for 40 hour week.
If you deduct the business overheads they probably do all right but in terms of remuneration it is a job like any other.
