So we got rid of the good ship Jones and happy days are here again! Well not quite as far as I am concerned and lots of whys, what fors and general murkiness still hang around.
Yes the Champion Lightweight Coxless 4 have been sunk (read Jones, Graham, Yeates and Greig) and that is a serious positive for all, make no mistake about it, but there are a few things that I have issues with.
First, I think the Company needs a makeover - badly. Personally I hate the name CBio, I think it's stupid. A new name will have the 'look' of a new beginning, which to a degree it is and it gives the new Board the chance to roadshow the Company and deliver the results to a 'new' market (and update shareholders) as they should have been in the first place
Second, if we have a world class product, we need a world class board and with due respect to the accountant from Maryborough and the other new chap, it ain't you two. So please do not approve their nominations
Third, to Michael Monsoor, you have invested millions in this Company (or maybe I should rephrase that; courtesy of you backing Jones for so long, you have hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in this Company), but it doesn't give you the right to put your mates on the Board. It is a seriously bad look. Not for that reason, but it is a good start, you should stand aside as Chairman and let a professional take over. Otherwise I would encourage all shareholders to vote you off the Board at the AGM. Sorry Michael, but you lack credibility with your support of Jones.
Fourth, pointing the finger at those Directors who said they would resign, but now won't, may I propose that all of you up for re-election AGM, provide sufficient cause to shareholders why you should NOT be voted off. It's the least you can do. You have done little else.
Fifth, could all efforts be made to cancel the free options and 'performance' shares to all former directors (now and in the future)
Sixth, can all efforts be made to cancel the share placement made to the broker last week. Sorry you didn't get enough shares in the shortfall mate, but that shouldn't entitle Jones or the Company to give you a handout of 18c shares (paid for via your outrageous commission).
The above will do for a start....
Good luck to the new Board with sorting out exactly what is going on at Cbio and I hope that you can restore credibility to the Company and generate an outlook that has old shareholders hopeful they can get a result and new shareholders optimism that they are making a great investment.
Dave
