who is the bhp/ cba of aussie gold stocks

There is a lot of guys promoting penny stocks as a good idea with the current high price of gold and thinking of the flow on effect.
I think the penny stocks may just get get squeezed out with the potential up coming credit crunch.
I would like to put the strong gold miners on my radar and see how they do in the up coming months.
So who are the cash rich miners who are already producing and have a proven track record with substantial deposits??
