it seems the purpose of your post is purely to project some sort of superiority over others. In the process of doing that you have clearly demonstrated your friend is a complete idiot with no concept of risk management, buying all properties in close proximity to each other. There are places here in Perth where the soil is unstable and houses in the suburb are severely affected and devalued with no recompense. The same can happen with flooding, methane coming up from a covered rubbish dump, rouge councils doing nothing for the suburb for decades, crime becoming a problem in an area, immigrants taken up residence en masse causing issues
