Good point.
On my calculations on volume and price over the last month it would take you roughly 1 month to mop up 5% at 5 cents.
Remember that there may be some top 20 willing to sell but can't find the volume to get out even at 5c. A JV partner could mop up some stock over several weeks plus a block trade or so with one or more disgruntled top 20 - which I expect their are a number.
It is still far more attractive to go after the company.
Although I am scathing about CTP management - I fundamentally like the CTP potential. I just think that these guys are out of their depth and something needs to be done.
Near term exploration success in my view may actually damage the long term prospects of the company, as it may prolong the malignant tenure of current management.
My investment philosophy has always been to back management first and projects second. Good management can build value elsewhere if there is a deficiency in the project. Bad management kills everything it touches. That is what CTP has in my view.
