To be honest, I really doubled checked myself before I hit the "post message" button after I read the AGM release earlier today. Particularly on the reference to Worley Parsons etc.

It seems clear to me, the way to attract the best price is to be very bullish about your options. It's a giant game of poker. You have hit the nail on the head. "repetitive rounds of negotiation between several parties?"

One thing I have learnt in life is to negotiate from a position of strength. If little old me has learnt this, our highly paid executives surely know this also.

ESG (I hate to drop that name again) tried it but their problem was the great big 20% holder sitting on their register. Their Market Cap was also too bloated.

IMO this AGM is just what we all wanted!! Had their been any kind of hints or announcements, the biggest rises would have been behind us!

MEL's AGM announcements and LNG's recent discussion do not reconcile - me like this very much. :D
