Well you are wrong! People often get side tracked with share price and not MARKET CAPITALISATION.

If a smaller share price was better in any way, BHP and the likes would do a share split to have a SP of 1c.

At the end of the day, the move from $1 to $2 is a bigger move but there will be less shares needed to make the move (do to the consolidation). Its exactly the same.
