agm summary

Flew to Sydney yesterday and went to the EHL Agm
observations:

Amazed at how many telstra phone boxes are about in the Sydney cbd they are literally everywhere so obviously more mobile users down here in melb.

Also the number of corner street beggers is staggering i came across 1 respected man in martin place selling pens for $2.00

now to the Agm(AND WHAT YOU MAY NOT HAVE READ):
1-A good result but could have been better if not for the large loss in Indonesia this has resulted in new mgmt with a focus on contracts & large quality new customers to avoid another disaster and a reduction in debtors of existing clients.
2-Capex into large feet has taken advantage of the booming resources sector.
3-Should an opportunity present the chairman indicated "he would have no hesitation in tapping shareholders on the shoulder and asking for funds" so unless the expenditure of new funds results in an upward tick in the SP expect to get diluted in the future.
4-Hurdles to achieve Performnance shares for Gordon appear to low and generous mgmt are reviewing this going forward.
5-A poll was conducted in respect of reolutuon 4(adoption of the remuneration report) as the against vote was a staggering 26.3%(for=73.6%), the result of the poll was not advised after a short adjournment and the votes stood as previously indicated so why bother polling???
