Is it more acceptable to you if it was means tested.
Why should ones earning capacity restrict them from materniy pay (of which I am against) if they bring it in.

So low payed and bludgers (I am not insinuating that low pay are bludgers)get assistance yet these people on 100K are paying twice the income tax and should be excluded from paid maternity leave.

The money has to come from somewhere.

If we have to keep increasing our population in order to have a growing economy, I am all for having more kids rather than more unskilled imigrants, we just need to work out how best to do it.

I have 3 kids and have never reieved a cent from the government for anything and no money incentive would make me have more, you have children cause you love them. And yea having them comes at a cost and you must sacrific things, my wife is a stay at home mum, and we would have it no other way

People today live for the dollar and see that as everything, I would rather be poor with kids than rich without.
