The central issue in the case, disregarding the drugs being in her bag, is the testimony of the customs inspectors and her testimony regarding events during the baggage search. The customs officer claimed she gave indications that she was aware of the drugs being in the bag and claimed ownership. He had witnesses to back his version. She claimed differently. Who did she have as witness her version? She didn't have to prove her own innocence, she just had to disprove the customs officers story. She couldn't. End of story.
