charts dont tell you 'why' traders are behaving in a certain way. The reason they work with some reliability is that traders psychology and behavior is often predictable and that behaviour is visible in the patterns.

Anyone armed with a knowledge of both fundamental and technical analysis has an decided advantage over users of one or the other.

Pity I have a lousy head for numbers...something I need to work on.
