I think most people are frustrated with the US because they appear to control this "western world" that we're apart of. The problem here is that alot of us are actually apposed to war, no matter what the excuse. So bringing US troops to this country seems rather unnecessary, and slightly provoking.
People always single out the US because it appears they always try cover up whats actually going on, and make things seem better or worse than they actually are, through their mass media powerhouse.
What is the truth?? No one can actually answer that- however no one can deny the statistics below either....
1940s - nuked Japan.
Death toll: 145,000 to date in Nagasaki, 250,000 in Hiroshima
1947-49 - U.S. helps command extreme-right Greece party in Civil War.
Death toll: about 70,000 contributed by US-backed forces
