Don't really know much about HREE/gold mining prospects in SK, other than Muguk, which was a significant gold mine. so, not a lot i can offer there
i was interested to read about the South Koreans plans to extract lithium from seawater, at a rate of 33 tons per year. and build a research facility/offshore plant through POSCO, to be established by 2012.
anyhow it's looking like it could be a looooooooooooooong 2012 for us
let's hope some stroke of luck comes our way.
