Summary
Tritton Deposit
• Drilling from underground at Tritton returns a highly significant intercept of:
o 4.45 m @ 32.2 % Cu, 287 g/t Ag and 1.1 g/t Au in TRGC 033 as seen in the
photo below
This is one of the highest grades returned from any drill hole at Tritton and is
indicative of the exploration potential in the area immediately surrounding the
mine workings
North East Deposit
• Drilling from surface at North East continues to return positive results including:
o 10 m @ 2.7 % Cu in NEDT 008 from 228 m
o 4.8 m @ 2.1 % Cu in NEDT 006 from 193.2 m
Drilling Results
Tritton Deposit
Diamond drilling from underground at Tritton has intersected some of the highest grade
mineralisation seen to date in the Tritton deposit. Drill hole TRGC 033 was drilled to test an
area at the top of the current reserves (refer to attached cross section).
This hole returned an outstanding 4.45 m (estimated true width) @ 32.2 % Cu, 287 g/t Ag and
1.1 g/t Au.
This hole was drilled to test for extensions of high grade mineralisation located in drill holes by
a previous owner (BDS 048 - 12 m @ 21 % Cu, 179 g/t Ag and 1.6 g/t Au and BDS 054 – 8 m @
19.4 % Cu, 80 g/t Ag and 0.45 g/t Au). These grades are significantly higher than the reserve
grade of approximately 5 % Cu incorporated in the current plan for this area of the mine.
The high grade mineralisation in this area was previously interpreted to be small pods hosted
within the main Tritton deposit. Mining of these areas on the 5032 level and infill drilling with
holes such as TRGC 033 indicate that these high grade zones are steeply dipping (sub
vertical) distinct shoots of bornite rich sulphides that extend for at least 20 m above the main
flatter dipping ore body.
The very high grade nature of this mineralisation makes it a very attractive exploration target
and drilling of this shoot is continuing. There is very little drilling in the footwall of the main
Tritton deposit and it is not known if these shoots extend into the footwall or not.
North East
The North East prospect is located 25 km north of the Tritton processing plant on a mining
lease and freehold land owned by the Company. Drilling of the down plunge extension of
the copper mineralisation below the open pit has identified a mineralised shoot up to 150 m
in strike length and to a depth of 125 m below the pit floor.
I
nitial drilling by Tritton in this area returned interesting but sub economic grade mineralisation
immediately below the pit floor. A review of the drill data at the end of 2004 indicated that
this drilling may not have accurately targeted the main shoot and that there is a low grade
depletion zone immediately below the pit floor.
Follow up drilling in 2005 has been successful in locating higher grade copper mineralisation
at depth, with the most recent results including:
o 10 m @ 2.7 % Cu in NEDT 008 from 228 m, hosted within a broader envelope
grading 17 m @ 2.0 % Cu
o 4.8 m @ 2.1 % Cu in NEDT 006 from 193.2, hosted within a broader envelope
grading 13.3m @ 1.4 % Cu
The location of these drill holes is shown in the long section attached below. NEDT 008 is
located approximately 50 m away from the previously released NEDT 007 (10 m @ 4.0 % Cu),
confirming the mineralisation model of higher grades on the footwall contact. These grades
and widths of mineralisation are highly encouraging and confirm North East as the second
highest priority target (after the high grade shoots underground at Tritton) in the current
exploration program.
Drilling is ongoing on a 50 m x 50 m pattern and results will be released as they are available.
