Eritrea is ranked on a par with North Korea (both ranked worse than Iran). So not sure about which Western countries it performs better than? Famine, extreme poverty, dictatorship, no press freedoms, etc - a hell of a place to do business. The point is Afewerki could be toppled. Good luck with your minerals licence then. STB sp is a big bet on Afewerki regime holding on and STB keeping in good graces. Maybe it's a very good bet but have no illusions that's the risk here.
