Hi Vendor, gaps are breaks in the progression of a share price and there are a number of types that are not appropriate to go into on a stock thread. Charting forum more appropriate. To me what is most important is not the gap but rather the conditions that lead to a gap being filled. Some gaps will never be filled but a trend towards a gap increases the probability of it being filled. The trend, momentum and volume are much more important considerations than the gap itself. Just my opinion and Im no expert albeit I use TA constantly as a basic tool to select stocks to trade and identify entry and exit points.
