Mr. Market knows or cares very little about geology, chemistry, pharmacology or any other branch of science for that matter.

What it knows or pretends to know is how to invest under conditions of uncertainty, because that it is what it does everyday.

This means that Mr. Market knows that every geological model is not perfect (just ask that question to those that invested in Bendigo Mining, aka Unity Mining on the basis of their geological model for the Kangaroo Flat project in VIC.)

On the top of that there is at the moment a lot of uncertainty as to the direction that the global economy is going to take, with the outlook being increasingly recessionary with the passing of every day.
