"The unit provides up to 200 litres of hot water a day - I don't see why this could not be circulated through a hydronic heating system instead of being stored for hot water " ##########################################
200 liters a day But at what temp ?
Hydronic needs 70 degrees alot of european hyronic heaters are a gas combined unit , and have a heat exchanger for the domestic hotwater
you are right mjshacll it can be done to make a hydronic system more efficient , but would be a complex set up , of valves and circulating pumps
instead of using a gas bluegen to pre-heat water for a gas hydronic unit
IMO a better idea for heating would be
use the exsisting gas blue gen to heat the domestic water as we currently do but have the ability to circulate it through a heat exchanger in a electric heat pump to make the condensor run more efficently in winter
heat pumps dont work when the temp falls below 2 degrees C .
every bit of heat that comes out of the bluegen should be used.
