I'm beginning to think that the term inflation only applies to car tyres these days. It has been so adulterised that nobody knows what it means. If houses are so expensive that nobody can afford them, that isn't inflation because you can rent; if rents are high, then the government gives you a subsidy; interest rates to pay the subsidy are low because the money is printed by the government; money is cheap because the next three generations will be paying for it,not us.
