I seem to be reading a heck of a lot of unmitigated absolute statements based on the speculation of nebulous announcements that seem to only add to the downward sp pressure here.

Looks like thought provoking dialogue is open whilst the recent quite fluffy update on Bacchus Marsh is quantified, thanks to another hand full of plug samples mooted for December.

I seem to be hearing that the Mr Pratt of Maddingley mines is not related to Mr Pratt of Visy board notoriety.

I would hazard a guess that further research might be on the cards there.

The final coal contract that BM coal had last century was to the now closed Pratt Visy board factory that was located near Bacchus Marsh, in the same industrial park that Maddingley mine runs out of ?

Lots of ''synergies '' remain here with this colourful BM enterprise......

Thanks to all posters for their input. It has certainly added thought provocation to the new brown coal mine for Victoria debate, cheers.

We seem to have inculcated that a surveyed coal deposit from the 1930's that became commercially defunct last century ( 1977 ) from a number of BM mines,,, after a life time of mining, ( pre war ) has quadrupled in size, from a surveyed 400mT survey pre it's exploitation, to 1 to 2 BT potential new resource per mnm's May anns ?

Only BM mine #2 is heritage listed ?

We read that the EPA is not exactly supportive of certain expansions of the C bro's Pratt headed fertilizer mine.
( a poster recently posted a link here for all to read )

We also see from new statistics c/- mnm, that the leonardite has dried some 5 to 10% to 57% from the 60 to 63% quoted in mining journals ? ( recent posters have transcribed the stats from co announcements readily available which correct the mining journals and encyclopedia stats. Wow !

And that Exergen which quotes a Vic brown coal drying potential to 20% product moisture, on it's web site, has been able to increase it's drying potential by 110%!!

110% to 9.5% moisture,, without announcing this fantastic break through via it's web site, to the market! double wow !

It also looks as though all of my mining journals and encyclopedia need to be amended thanks to the fantastic new information that I can't find, but must be available regarding the amazing disappearance of the high levels of humic and fulvic acids and the oxidization ( calorific ) degradation of the remaining Maddingley BM high altitude shallow formation ?

    What's next ?

I know the prime minister of India recently requested of our PM, that Australia supply his Country with Uranium,,,( it was in all the papers ),,, but begged her that coal would do for the mean time,, perhaps TATA could come to their country's aid ?

( not the tata's that BM fertilizer products enhance , of course )

Bogswell,,, perhaps think market cap and current sp trends when comparing apples with oranges in your own back yard ?

Thanks again one and all for the input. Much appreciated.

In spite of all the associated risks, I still reckon mnm,s a LT Buy !

    Cheers RD .
