Actually, "export from" / "import" are also correct.
E.g. Water exports from Canada to USA. (Water coming from Canada and go to USA)
E.g. Australia imports furnitures from Malaysia. (Australia is receiving furnitures from Malaysia.)
As much as it pains me to say, there was nothing wrong with Fuziah's english.
