We hear alot about SLR and how it's doing better than IGR.
The facts, however say otherwise.
SLR is an established gold miner going over 2 years while
IGR is morphing from explorer to producer not having one full year of financial results posted yet as a producer.
Nevertheless lets look at the stats:
............................SLR..............IGR
EPS.......................8c...............2c
P/E........................45.52...........24.27
Net Profit................19.84%.........37.75%
Operating margin.....28.75%.........32.63%
Return on assets.....16.34%.........15.4%
Return on av equity..22.54%.........22.17%
Given that IGR has not yet completed a full financial year
yet and given that SLR has completed over 2, my money is on
IGR for much better fundamentals come next August. The only negative IGR has vis-a-vis SLR is mine life and this should be shored up between now and next August given IGR current rate of drill results.
Sentiment in the short term will always move shares contrary to their fundamentals but as Benjamin Graham(Buffet's mentor) said:
"In the shorter term the stock market is a voting machine but in the longer term it is a weighing machine."
In my opinion come next August, IGR will by far outweigh SLR.
Cheers
