House prices fell for the 10th consecutive month in October, a key private index has shown;

10 consecutive months of house price declines. I'd say the downward trend has now been confirmed.

Interesting that US house prices continue to fall - 5 years after the peak. Given Australia's house prices peaked in mid-2010, if we follow trend, prices should still be declining well into 2015.
