    I would see it more like an effort to build a balanced product portfolio. Given our situation the company needs to try and monetise existing, short term opportunities as soon as possible.

    This cashflow can then be used to develop the higher tech (more distuptive) and potentially more lucrative opportunities further down the line. This opportunities would need more investment and a longer lead time to market.

    Sort of a BCG Matrix approach for all the Management Consultants in the house tonight.
