Copper posted its first weekly gain in five weeks, on persistent tightness in the metal's supply and market optimism over the central bank action. The London Metal Exchange's benchmark three-month copper rose $105 on the day to close at $7,895 per tonne. For the week, it was up $665. In New York, the key March copper contract rose 5.05 cents on the day to settle at $3.5845. For the week, it was up around 30 cents. (Reuters)
