Regarding a "global flood", the people who do have a myth about this are Middle Easterners. I understand that the Gilgamesh story was the first to have this about 3000 BC. Anthropologists believe that there may have been a flooding of the Persian Gulf after the last ice age when sea levels rose dramatically.
But talking about "global" is a stretch. How can these Mesopotamians have known about other parts of the world?
As for dinosaurs, they slowly turned into birds. But creationists who only believe what the Bible says will not accept this.
OF course they believe that ALL the creatures on earth moved into the Ark two by two. This includes lizards, worms, beetles, snakes as well as mammals etc. Quite a crush in there with thousands of species many of which had not been discovered by man at the time. And how did Noah feed them all, I ask?
