Its a topic worth debating and people should feel free to do so, though perhaps not in such an off-handed way. The issues of pedophilia, rape, slavery, the treatment of women, other religions, apostates etc, as they arise in the Koran, are made current by the belief of many Muslims that these texts are immutable and that Mohammed's example is to be followed in their own lives in the present day.
I agree its probably not wise to broach these topics in Saudi Arabia but its absolutely disgusting that people are encouraged to self censor under threat of violence in western countries.
