Great stuff .

Phase 2b and phase 3 are closely associated , they are no further ahead really . Extended toxicology tests and extended program durations are next for both cohorts . Also consider that BIT225 will likely get fast track status . So will a few others by the look . The landscape has changed dramatically recently .

What all these latest results are proving is that the standard 48 week treatment is destined to be cut to BITs . Remember that there is always ( so far ) going to be a need for a combination because of resistance . BIT225 is cutting that resistance by smashing the reservoir loads .

I think it's possible the next level of SOC will be 3 months or even way less .

This , another recent early study which shows a huge response after only three days ! This was by Presidio , a private investor pharmaceutical company .

The page also goes on to discuss in laymans terms why a drug like BIT225 will be so important . The HCV virus has a nasty habit . It continues to change and even in the short tests the virus continues to change while under attack .

There is also a very recent trend happening . It used to be that a cure was never claimed until 12 weeks after the 48 week treatment .... the virus has a 20%ish comeback rate even when the patient is is virus free at 48 weeks . The tendency in some media I have read is for claims of SVR at week 12 . This is a little hard to fathom when there is no evidence that I have seen to suggest this .

I think the goal posts are being shifted here in a dramatic way and I am glad I have my BIT .
