How anyone can get to retirement without owning their home beats me. NOTHING is more important, in my view. But waiting a decade (if necessary) while saving isn't the end of the world.
But as a home owner, and once an investor in both property and shares, both markets are positively scary ATM. After Opes, Sonray and MF Global, How can you even trust your broker?
I think it is time for that tin hat. (and gold!)
