If you look into the costs of drilling you will see that to drill diamond core, log, cut and assay, the price is around $200/m, and that is for shallower drilling, say to 300m depth. As a drillhole gets deeper, the cost per metre increases. Drilling contractors charge different rates for different depth ranges. Directional and navi drilling are even more expensive. ($750,000 IMO for a hole is way over the top, but deep diamond drilling will chew through the $ pretty quickly)
