some things cannot be avoided on this land, like postage costs. $11.30 to post a book interstate - just because it weighed a little more than 500 grams, which left me with about 4 dollars profit from ebay sale. 3 way camping fridge - size of a medium esky - courier from Melb to QLD is only $179! But then overseas sellers can send books here for around 5 dollars or less! Something's really rotten here, but many are trying to talk it down with our higher wage baloney. If that's the case, then don't embrace globalisation simply because it's now taking the cream off the top of all our high wages which will be sharply followed by rapidly deteriorating working conditions and agreements.
We've had it too good for too long at the expense of those that worked next to nothing. We've invited them into our system - now there' no escape; we will slide down to their standards.
