Sydney - Thursday - December 15: (RWE Aust Business News) - NuPower (NUP) has assessed its second batch of assay results for the 2011 Arganara project drilling, Northern Territory.

The new assay results have extended the phosphate footprint at Arganara a further 1km to the east and mineralisation remains open to the east and south.

The phosphate footprint now covers an area 3km by 3.2km.

Results cover an additional 69 holes and include more high grade phosphate intersections above 30pc phosphate and thick zones of mineralisation with average grades above 20pc in many holes.

The results further confirm the potential of the Arganara area to host a large body of phosphate mineralisation.

    Better intersections include 10m at 21.7pc from 9m including 1m at 32.7, 5m at 28.6pc from 20m including 2m at 34.6pc, 7m at 24.8pc from 34m including 2m at 35.3pc.

Managing director Andrew Johnstone said these were excellent results in terms of grade and thickness.

"Our results look very similar to the neighbouring high grade phosphate bearing JORC resource that sits directly west of Arganara," he said.

"We now have a 3km wide zone of phosphate mineralisation in a north south direction extending over 3.2km east from the tenement boundary, and it continues to remain open to the east and south.

"We are also seeing consistent high grade zones (greater than 30pc) over adjacent holes within this zone."

By the end of January 2012 NuPower will have assays for most of its drilling, which covers an area with a strike length over 30km.
