ASIC to seize shares
The corporate regulator will move today to seize more than 10 per cent of the shares in Northwest Resources as part of a criminal investigation into suspected links between the gold explorer's Managing Director and a mysterious British Virgin Islands company. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission alleges the father of Northwest's managing director had a "relevant interest" in the shares held in the BVI- based company Craigside despite Northwest's declaration to the contrary.
