Its seems we are going through one of history's grand transitions. A pretty unique one - where the idea of nation states is becoming marginalised.
Where being ozzie, kiwi, yank, pom is irrelevant in the push for economic globalisation.
The financial world doesn't care about nationality - as long as you have money to slip under the gates of the castles.
I guess on reflection, it's an ingenious plan.... to emasculate nation states, and in so doing, direct wealth and prestige to a powered elite, whilst preventing wholescale war between nations. It's a win-win (for them).
However, like communism - it will never work unless every person in the world is a communist. What we have today is not capitalism. It's not socialism and it's not communism. It's something else - something dark without a definition that I can think of. Any ideas as to what it is?
