I'm sure they'll try very hard to make it look good. I can still remember all the noise the SEC made over the abnormally high number of short positions on Mac and Mae long before the public and media ever got wind. I can't remember the SEC actually convicting anyone though, although those two did at least raise awareness as to how broken the system was.
