what is your trading story?, page-12

I've been trading for 3 years now with a small capital base of between 20k and 30k. I'm in the fortunate position of having an accomodation business in WA which is under management. Pays a wage and some which allows me to sit in front of the screens ( I actually still enjoy it )I've had periods of making money and losing money. I short term trade or day trade when applicable. I only trade mining stocks. Over the 3 years, I would be still in the red but have a specific goal in mind. I'm using the last 3 years and the next one ahead purely to get a basic understanding of investing and trading using TA. With the knowledge that I have gained and will continue to gain, I will be able to run my own SMSF. I am certain I will be able to outperform my current fund.
I'm 46 and my business sells next year which will free up capital. If the market performs, I will trade for a living, if not, I will be ready for when it does.
I have learnt more from the 3 very large losses than I have from my winning trades. I also must acknowledge the value of the posters here on H.C. to my education in trading. I hope this has been of interest ......
