Ive always watched the market but never participated until about 2 years ago on a barra trip when something just hit me and it became clear that it was time to invest. I had a mates brother that had recently become a broker and it just seemed that it had all lined up perfectly and in hindsight so had the timing with the bounce out of the gfc.

I had always known about diversification and my first share became a multi bagger within weeks which i then split into two more multis which i then split into 6 multis culminating in eqx going from 44 to 3.50 which i got out of at the top. Unfortunately i held onto the others expecting more (wgo from .15 to 1.75 doh as the best example) and knew nothing of ta and was purely at the whim of my broker. I cant complain as he made me lots of money, but several failed ipo's and a few other reasons made me look elsewhere. I had known about hc but never bothered until recently and then read some of mushashi's comments and have spent the last several months picking his brains. This has proven invaluable in every way, ta, charting, programs, strategies - a whole new ball game has been opened up and i'm sincerely thankful. I'm only early 30's and work in the NW and have a fishing web business that holds back my trading, but always watching, reading and learning for that next winner.

Great thread timbo, gl to all n merry chrissie.
