Although your grades table is somewhat correct, it really needs clarification particularly the low grade spot at 2 to 6g/t.
Lihir is around 3.5g/t and that is one huge gold mine, it all depends on the size of the mineable ore.For example 300 million tonnes grading 3g/t would be a very large gold mine.So whilst grade is very important, it is more reliant on the extent of the mineable ore.I agree that greater than 15g/t is bonanza and the highest i had heard of was over 100g/t until late last week when a Aussie company released a core grading 154g/t.If this proves to be open at length and strike then that could well be the largest ever recorded by an Aussie company.I am searching to find if there has been any larger but i have not heard of it in my time as a gold buff.
