I really dont think sale of BBG is on the cards in any shape or form.
I can see a few of the current (non-owned) retial shops being closed systematically to bring down the current lease costs, and perhaps some form of change in pricing structure for their apparel, but they have had a rcoky couple of months as has most if not all retailers, so no-one is immune here.
The actuall BBG brand is only just under 50% of all their owned brands, so those that affiliate just the billibong brand with BBG have it a little incorrect.
That along with the sponsorships, surf comps etc etc....all revenue generating.
Sure it has been hit down hard, but with this provides opportunity for traders, especially if in a oversold situation which it clearly still is imo.
You're either in or not, either way, good luck and have a nice day.
