bauxsol vs lime

Between the long term Bauxsol technology supporters & info researchers posting on HC we have gathered and are sharing quite a lot of accumulated knowledge. I think that VTI will, before long, crack the big time with this technology. In the field of mining, lime is still very much the standard ARD (AMD) treatment worldwide. MWH, who will be doing the work in Penn/I99 is a leading international applicator of lime treatments, and I anticipate they will very soon be changing their tune. This will influence many others in the mining remediation industry, and hopefully turn the trickle into a landslide. The trick is to have Bauxsol treatment available for all remediation companies to utilize and recommend, so that it can become the universally recognised solution, without too many vested interests opposing it.
With regard to its use as a fertilizer additive, we know it is excellent in dramaticly slowing the leaching of phosphates into waterways, but I don't think VTI have yet solved the major problems of nitrogen leaching.
As for Bauxsol's exciting use as a concrete additive, I have seen a sample, and it looked exactly like terra cotta, with Bauxsol being such such a strongly pigmented material. I would love to see its use in pavers. I have a chunk of Bauxsol I picked up at Mt Carrington sitting beside my computer. If things really start to take off, I'll pray to it every night!

Newbys dont buy without doing your own research.

    Cheers
