If you speak to the directors of the company regarding their attitude to the unrest of the village people and the rebels they are not interested in negotiating any type of deal to keep the peace with all concerned parties. They are not prepared to pay mafia money to the rebels so they are protected from attack.
So unless we can get the protection of the Indonesian government we have no hope of ever getting a drilling programme up and running. Arc are not interested in hiring Security guards to protect the site and workers. Some reasons offered are they are not financial enough to do so and don`t want to go down that path as the mafia money could open up a bottomless pit of payments.
I guess we have our own opinions on that decision.
However IMO I don`t believe that the directors have the acuman to be able to negotiate any deal with any party as they have NO FLEXIBILTY in their attitude to get this drilling operational in the near future as proven by their last performance.
Contact the company and talk to them and you might understand where I am coming from. I found their attitude extremely frustrating and their answeres to be pathetic and lack substance,credibility and FOS.
For me speaking to them only makes me feel sick and angry that we have a board that are incompetant and lack the skills to negotiate a settlement. IMO they don`t give a dam about shareholders and the price of its shares.
I regret to say this as like many of us I have bought at much higher than this as well and was certainly looking forward to the new year with ARC.
