I fully agree Katok. There will be further drilling here. It must be extremely frustrating having seismics that tell them that there could be 7.5 mmbo down there, STRONG OIL SHOWS, very bright white pale blue flourescences, good sandstone reservoir capability etc etc.
NO O&G exploration company worth its salt could possibly walk away from this area.
We are talking trying to find something over a mile deep in the ground, 2 kilometres. All the "desirable evidence" has been located, the ONLY thing that they haven't located is that TRAP which contains the oil.
As I indicated yesterday, this will really test the geologist in RJ and everyone is watching.
I would not be at all surprised if he does locate oil, whether it is commercially viable is the other question.
The testing of the 7, yes 7, gas zones that have been encountered on the way down could still be valuable in relation to the Stanwell GSA, so, maybe all will not be lost if no commercial discovery of oil is made.
But, I won't declare this a duster until MUCH more info is provided. ALL the balls are in RJ's court.
Just hope that he keeps that regular reporting up so we can stop guessing.
