It's more a personal milestone DTrad. Tendulkar is a fine batsman, second to Bradman. I just don't get the hype. I can't remember Warne's 1000th International wicket being covered by the media in this fashion, though his 700th Test wicket was a big deal. It just feels way over the top and is another sign of how the media runs sport these days. They virtually pick the Aussie team now.
