To me it looks like the same kind of approach as Aileron only one difference really though being Roche stumped up $25M up-front and agreed upon the $1.2B milestones on the signing of the deal where-as Phylocia/Janssen the multiple candidates are potential targets & won't be outlined until over the next 18 months as to weather they will move on all or any of the 10, once again i guess its just a time thing but i'm sure other majors will be taking notice of this deal even if the markets quiet. FWIW in regards to other partners Aileron was initally back by reputable VC funds aswell as Novartis, Lily & Roche throwing in $40M to move forward prior to Roche jumping ahead of the pack & stitching the deal a year later.
